Terms of use

The rules for using this website and its tools. Engagements with clients are governed by separate written agreements.

Last updated 22 October 2026

About these terms

These terms apply to your use of securebits.africa, operated by Securebits Infosec Limited. By using the site you agree to them. Any products or services we supply are governed by the written agreement, quotation or statement of work for that engagement, not by these terms.

The solution assistant

The assistant gives an indicative match between the situation you describe and the approaches we deliver, expressed as a percentage. It is a starting point for a conversation with our consultants, not professional advice, a security assessment or a guarantee that a solution will meet your requirements. A proper recommendation depends on scoping, and where appropriate a proof of concept, in your environment.

Website content

We work to keep the information on this site accurate and current, including our summaries of laws and regulations. These summaries are general information only and are not legal advice. Regulations change, so please confirm requirements with the relevant regulator or your legal advisers before relying on them.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • submit false information, or information about another person without their permission;
  • attempt to gain unauthorized access to the site, its servers or the data of other visitors;
  • send automated requests, spam or malicious code through the site's forms; or
  • use the site in any way that breaks the law.

If you believe you have found a security vulnerability, please follow our responsible disclosure policy.

Intellectual property

The content, design and code of this website belong to Securebits or its licensors. Product names and trademarks of technology vendors belong to their respective owners. You may share links to our pages and quote short extracts with attribution, but you may not copy or republish substantial parts of the site without our written permission.

Links to other websites, including WhatsApp, LinkedIn and regulator sites, are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.

Liability

The website is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, the website or the assistant's results. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, and the courts of Kenya have jurisdiction over any dispute about them. Questions about these terms can be sent to info@securebits.africa.
